Introduction Tor is an anonymity and censorship circumvention tool that uses a network of relays around the world to mask the origins and destinations of traffic. It’s used by researchers, journalists, and activists all over the world, as well as by ordinary people who want to keep their internet use private. There’s a lot of writing about Tor’s protocol or its use as a privacy tool, but not a lot of writing about Tor as a codebase.
